tête-à-tête is a conversations project I developed for Akademie Schloss Solitude. the projects takes its title and inspiration from a special chair pair designed by Selim Birsel. the model of course comes from the dialogue between curator and artist, the proximity in between, sort of potential trust of disclosure and mutuality. the fellows residing in the schloss are invited by me for an interview on their way of looking at the politicization of difference, the promises of residencies as part of this production of difference system, of course opening the starting points of the conversation with insights from their own practice.
